Budding Wonder

"Behold,
I will do something new,
Now it will spring forth;
Will you not be aware of it?'
(Isaiah 43:19a)

God is doing something new!
It is springing forth!
And, by God's great mercy,
I am aware of it!

Thank You, God, for these wonders of Your love:
657. waking in the wee hours after enough sleep
658. vigils at 4:00 am
659. meditating on Jonah and Peter putting his nets down deep
660. praying with my prayer beads
661. Sunday morning mass at the Abbey Church
662. the processional
663. the cross and the Word
664. the sweet fragrance of incense
665. familiar words in an unfamiliar setting
666. the body of Christ lined up to receive the Body and the Bread
667. the old priests' eyes
668. eating a hardboiled egg at breakfast
669. the homily: in Jesus all is new!
670. finding the Way of the Cross in the woods by the lake
671. 15 stations of suffering and sacrifice
672. just the right word: "cherish"
