Comforting Wonder

When disaster and death and despair
surround us,
when sadness and anger and wondering why
overwhelm us,
when all we can say is,
"This is so hard.". . .

God sees,
and God knows,
and God is with us,
loving us through
all that is so hard.

And, somehow,
we experience the
comforting wonder
of God's great love
and we realize that
"all shall be well,
and all shall be well,
and all manner of things shall be well."
(Julian of Norwich)

"For I am convinced
that neither death,
nor life,
nor angels,
nor principalities,
nor things present,
nor things to come,
nor powers,
nor height,
nor depth,
nor any other created thing,
will be able to separate us
from the love of God,
which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
(Romans 8:38-39)

Thank You, Lord, for these wonders of Your love:

325. a welcome hug
326. little girl's "I have new glasses!"
327. coming full circle with Connie and Wayne
328. the Somers being at church
329. the conscientious video man
330. gathering round Mama's table for Sunday Dinner
331. hearing Joseph and Travis playing music on our porch
332. three boys shooting baskets
333. John Victor wearing those red pants to church
334. sweet, smiling Cornchip
335. Victor's loving, lovely flower spray for Beth
336. the kindness of funeral directors

With gratitude,
Sally
