Filled With Wonder

We have to
be stilled
to be filled.

In order for my cup
to be filled
with coffee
it must be placed
under the flowing stream
and stay still
until filled.

In order for the gas tank
of our vehicle
to be filled
the vehicle has to
stop moving
and be parked
close to the pump
and stay still
until filled.

Yesterday morning in our FUEL worship
I was filled with wonder.
It felt like the whole activity center full of people
was filled with wonder.
Perhaps we were
filled with wonder
because
we came on purpose
and placed ourselves
under the flowing stream
and parked ourselves
close to the pump
and stayed still
until
we were
filled
with wonder.

Thank You, Lord, for these wonders of Your love:
209. smiling greeters at the door
210. worship that leads to a holy place
211. the Word of God preached
212. "never too late"
213. remembering to go forward with Margaret
214. Ben's grin
215. being received in love
216. welcoming hugs from old friends and new
217. Miss Joan and her camera and her pearls
218. sitting with Connie
219. laughing in church
220. receiving Wayne's benediction
221. meatloaf, collard greens, butter beans, new potatoes, and cornbread
222. Sunday dinner dessert with a good cup of coffee
223. Victor scaring Margaret while she practiced at the piano
224. soaking in worship (better than a nap)

With gratitude,
Sally
