The Wonder of Walking

The wonder of walking
is that we can choose
to walk with God-
step by step,
one foot in front of the other,
walk with God!

These stepping stones
at one entrance to the walking path
at Green Bough House of Prayer
invite us to
walk in
peace,
happiness,
and serenity.

We have a choice about
how we will walk:
"If we say that we have
fellowship with (God)
and yet walk in the darkness,
we lie
and do not practice the truth;
but if we walk in the Light
as (God) is in the Light,
we have fellowship
with one another,
and the blood of Jesus
cleanses us from all sin."
(I John 1:6-7)

God, today, I choose to walk with You, step by step.
I choose to walk in the Light, one foot in front of the other.
I choose to practice the truth.
I choose to walk in peace, happiness, and serenity.

An old hymn says it well:
"When we walk with the Lord,
In the Light of His Word,
What a glory He sheds on our way.
While we do His good will,
He abides with us still,
And with all who
Will trust and obey."

Thank You, God, for these wonders of Your love:
273. tears flowing hearing "Fly to Jesus" and remembering a dance
274. hearing a new song: "Don't Let Me Lose My Wonder"
275. Sarah steering to safety after I-85 blowout
276. kind man stopping and changing her tire
277. 24 year old's composure on all-went-wrong day
278. Victor's fierce protectiveness
279. Andrew sitting down at our table for supper
280. Joseph applying for job at Elements
281. John Mark's encouraging "I know you!"
282. finishing book "Worship As Theology"
283. a big bag of KFC
284. good John's shared realization: life is fragile and fleeting
285. strong, sweet, stylish Shirley in her dotted dress
286. a warm place to gather, to care
287. Margaret covering our broken windows with cardboard
288. Margaret answering Ben with "I'm saving our parents."

With gratitude,
Sally
